MSC Cruises Doubles Up
After the successful restart of MSC Grandiosa’s in the port of Palermo, the first ship to resume operations after the lockdown, it is now the turn of MSC Magnifica in the port of MessinaThe second MSC Cruises ship, which will visit another port in Sicily, departs from Genoa for an 11-day voyage with stunning destinations including Livorno, Civitavecchia, Valletta (Malta), Piraeus (Greece), and Katakolon (Greece). October 19th it will be possible to begin and end the cruise at the ports of Messina and Civitavecchia, further strengthening the concept of "proximity cruising" which offers guests greater accessibility to embarkation and disembarkation ports.
The MSC Sicilia team is working closely with the Cruise Terminal Messina, the Port Authority, Maritime Health, our suppliers and collaborators, and local tour guides to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency during the operations and port calls.
These two months of weekly calls by MSC Grandiosa’s in Palermo have demonstrated that the company’s new health and safety protocol ensures the safety of guests, crew, and the local communities visited during port calls.
Thanks to these efforts, the company has extended MSC Grandiosa’s voyages until the end of the year, allowing guests to continue traveling safely through the remaining summer period and throughout the entire winter season.
